Thy Delightful ShadeSonnets I - XXIV Missa pro defunctis
With this project I intend to set several poems to music. The poetry dates as far back as the sixteenth century. There are about fourteen songs being developed at the moment, several of them are in a near finished state, there are two (very!) rough demos below.

The music is rather different from my first two albums, the songs are piano-based and I am using a traditional classical approach.
No release date has been set, yet, but the progress can be monitored by clicking the titles below.

Well under way at the moment:
The Tree, by Anne Finch (1661-1720) (hence the project's title)
Shall Earth No More Inspire Thee, by Emily Bronte (1818-1848)
The Deserted House, by Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) (short video here)

To Autumn, by John Keats (1795-1821)
Times Go By Turns, by Saint Sir Robert Southwell (1561-1595)
The Rock Of Cader Idris, by Felicia Hemans (1793-1835)
Come, Come - What Do I Here, by Henry Vaughan (1622-1695)

Under development:
On Death, by Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)
The Funeral, by John Donne (1572-1631)
Cradle Song, by William Blake (1757-1827)
The Hermit, by James Beattie (1735-1803)
Constancy to an Ideal Object, by (Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834)
Ode To Pity, by William Collins (1721-1759)
The Tear, by Lord Byron (1788-1824)
